There's no shortage of advice today for anyone looking for ways to make money online. But what about ways to lose money it seems everyone likes to lose money or there wouldn't be so many people doing it. Here are my best tips for losing money online; you might want to consider not following these tips if your goal is to actually make more money.
1. Spend thousands of dollars having a website designed by people who don't understand search optimization or marketing. Pay for any bell and whistle that is presented, make sure that you have no idea how any of them work, rely on a team of high priced experts to maintain your site. Spend some sleepless nights wondering why your site receives no traffic and then hire someone else to fix it.
2. Buy hundreds of internet marketing products. In fact; buy as many make money, get rich, magic bullet, instant result, no effort required products as you possibly can. The higher the price the better, focus on the really high ticket items as much as possible. Place half of what you learn in a "store for later application" file inside your mind and the other half in the, I've heard this stuff before bin.
3. Focus on small time niches. This is an excellent way of virtually guaranteeing your money loss. Create several web sites and marketing campaigns focused on topics and niches that absolutely nobody is interested in. OK in all fairness there's a guy named Floyd in Boise, Idaho that might be mildly interested, but he doesn't get out much. Make sure that you spend as much time, energy and money as you possibly can focusing on these niches. Rejoice in the fact that you have absolutely no competitors, indeed the number of your competitors may have somehow slipped into the negative digits.

Keep your head down, follow the crowd, don't let anyone know that you something different to offer, you wouldn't want anyone buying from you after all, that would defeat the purpose of losing your money.
5. Target highly competitive keywords with AdWords and other pay per click ads. Spend some time researching the most expensive keywords to add to your campaigns. To get the most from this method you will want to make sure that whatever it is you are spending tons of money advertising is a complete dud of a product. Spend as little time as possible.
6. Work an at least 20 different projects at once, this way you are sure to never complete any one project. The goal is to have as many unfinished, half started projects in the works at any given time as possible.
7. Make efforts to learn how to be unproductive and use time inefficiently. Spend as many hours a day as you can watching television, using social networks to gossip and chat, subscribe to as many email newsletters as you can and read each one daily, play online games like FarmVille and Mafia Wars at least two hours per day. Generally you should avoid task that might produce a money making result.
