The issue of spam has more than baffled Me for a few years now. This is because even though everybody seems to be getting it and complaining about it it still goes on.
In the end I was defeated when I found Myself in the world of internet marketing. Here do We find a world that revolves around contacting prospects. A world where lists of 'consumers' are sold by companies for amazing prices. A world where You can 'send a message to 200,000 recipients a day' and yet apparently 'spamming' doesn't happen.
My ability to believe nonsense has diminished over the years and is now at an all time low so let Me just say that almost every internet marketer has spammed before or does spam.
When first starting out when We want to get in touch with as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time We don't have time to build lists and in many cases don't want to buy them therefore We send e-mails to people We don't know about products.
I'm not going to debate whether it is wrong or right but I will offer some tips about spamming.
1. Be POLITE
I cannot stress this enough. When You are sending a mail to someone who hasn't actively sought Your information please be polite. Polite to the point that the first thing You do is thank them for their time and wish them a good day.
If someone called You up offering You a product or service that You hadn't asked for if they asked You how You were and wanted to hear about Your day wouldn't You be more inclined to listen?
2. Be Brief
Make the e-mail short, sweet and to the point. Let them know how amazing what You are offering is, offer them the link and let them make the decision. There is only so much You can say which the landing page doesn't already.
3. Make it Free!
Make sure that Your landing page or offer includes something free for the visitor. After they've taken the chance on Your offer then give them more reason to buy by offering them something more than just an e-mail that has excited them.
Thank You for reading and have a great day.
