Tired of That Messy Closet? Get a Closet Organizer

Are you sick and tired of trying to find your stuff in that messy closet? If the answer to that question is "yes" then be of good cheer - you don't have to live with the frustration any more. A closet organizer is just what you need to clear the clutter, organize the mess and end your frustration.

You can build an organizer unit yourself or purchase a pre-built unit that you assemble and install. Systems range from relatively inexpensive for wire and plastic materials, to pricey models that are made of solid real wood. Whatever you decide to get, a closet organizer system will go far in helping you organize your closet items more efficiently.

Regardless of whether or not you buy an organizer kit or if you just wish to learn how to utilize your closet space better, the following tips are sure to help you get more organized.

1) De-clutter. Go through your closet and get rid of everything you don't use, want, or wear. If it doesn't fit you any more, get rid of it. If it damaged and not worth getting repaired, get rid of it. You might be surprised how much stuff you get rid of and how much closet space you free up.

2) Take everything out of the closet and put it into three piles: Keep It, Dispose It, or Put it Elswhere.

After you've weeded out the items to dispose of, look at the things you will keep and decide where you want to put them.

3) You don't have to throw things away, especially if they are still in good shape. Besides, it will add needlessly to the local landfill, and we're all trying to be more "green" these days aren't we? A good way to dispose of your extra stuff is to have a yard sale or donate the items to a charity such your church, the Salvation Army or Goodwill.

4) A good way to gain more space in your closet is to place items that are not in season into storage bags or containers and put them under your bed. This frees up space and puts the out-of-season items out of sight and out of the way until you need them.

5) A quick and easy way to free up closet space is as simple as raising the clothes rod a few inches higher. This will give you more floor space to hang long items like gowns and dresses. If the rod is raised high enough you may decide to add another rod below it so you can hang even more clothes.
