I made a graph that helped me understand what the meeting points of both our graphs were. I noticed that career goals and ambitions were in different directions. I also found out that family set ups were in pole opposites. The only point of meeting is what we did in our past time, travelling! That was the only thing that started our relationship and sustained it.

I then started building on the travelling bit, what aspects made us build on that similarity... and I realized it was nothing new, it was the same old same old... this told me that the only sustaining factor that kept us going was this and that too something that never developed and made us grow together.

The more I noticed the dissimilarity and the lack of growth in our relationship, the more I realized it was not worth the energy. Don't promise a different you or a new life together, be real and approach the person with what you enjoyed the most about each other and check if that's something that can be relived and worked on further.
