You may find buying a rabbit hutch a challenging tasks most especially when you are just new in pet rabbit raising. Of course, there are lots of cages that can be found at pet stores but it is not just that. You need to find the most ideal for your dear bunny and the tips below may be useful to you.

When buying a rabbit hutch, you may want to take into account the following ideas:

1. The first thing that you need to consider is the size. How big a hutch or cage should you purchase? Commonly, rabbit enthusiasts and experts suggest that you should purchase the largest hutch or cage that you can afford and will fit where you need to place it. For smaller breeds ( those who weigh around 8 lbs.), a cage that is at least 24 inches by 36 inches should be enough. Medium and larger breeds should be put in at least a cage that is 30 inches by 36 inches in size. You must provide housing that is at least four (4) times the rabbit's length, but the bigger your cage or hutch the better.

2. A rabbit Hutch gives the easiest way to provide ideal room for your pet rabbit while making it easier to clean its home or take care of its needs. In addition to basic items that your pet rabbit must have - like a water bottle and a feeder -a hutch should be large enough to give room for hopping and playing and therefore giving stuff for playing can be a great factor to have a happier pet. So, when buying, it is more ideal if you are able to find a hutch or cage that has this item included. It is essential in rabbit housing.

3. When buying a hutch or cage with a wire floor, consider adding a solid area by placing in a piece of cardboard, or wood. This gives your rabbit a comfortable place to rest, yet still allows for easy clean up.

4. Another thing that can help you to decide which rabbit cage or hutch should you purchase is browsing the web. In doing so, you'll get a substantial idea on the relative prices of hutches in the market. So, that you will not end up having to buy expensive hutch - just because you don't have an idea on what should the price be.
