Do you have an annoying adware problem on your computer? Take a look at these tips for removing adware from your computer for good!

First, open up your system configuration by clicking start, then clicking run. Type "msconfig" (without the quotes) into the box and push ok. Click on the Startup tab and you'll notice a bunch of items with check boxes next to them. Note that some of these are critical parts of your system, so you don't want to go through and uncheck all of the boxes.

Go through the entire list, searching on Google for the name listed under "startup item". If you find out that the item is related to Adware on your computer, uncheck it. When you're done with the list, click OK and it'll ask you to restart your computer.

Second, remove any toolbars that you might have installed on your browser. With Firefox, click on the Tools menu, then on Add-ons. Disable any addons that you aren't using.

For Internet Explorer, open the start menu, settings, and control panel. Open the "Add or Remove Programs" applet. You'll be shown a blank list for a little while as it scans your computer and updates it. After the list shows up, go through it and remove things that you don't recognize, especially anything that labels itself as a "Toolbar".

Between these two things, you can take out many of the problems that plague your computer, with a minimum amount of risk of damaging critical system components.
