Tips For Quickly Creating Quality Content to Increase Your Online Presence
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

You are a busy entrepreneur. You have a Web site, a blog, an ezine, and several social media accounts. What you do not have is a lot of time to write. Perhaps you lack the inclination to write, too. Try these tips for creating quality content quickly.

Capture ideas as they occur to you

Use pen and paper, a voice recorder, and a camera or camcorder to catch those fleeting impressions and inspirations. Make good use of the hours you spend waiting, cleaning, gardening, cooking, or commuting to voice record thoughts to share with your readers. You will spend less time finding a writing topic, and some of the material you record will be almost ready to use. Add a caption to a picture that will invite feedback or cause viewers to stop and think. Share your inspiring thoughts in audio or video format. It is quick and easy to upload pictures and links to audio and video clips, and you save on writing time.

Listen closely to friends, family, clients, and associates

All of these people are capable of providing content: humor, tales with a moral, testimonials, technology tips and fixes, success stories, and glimpses into your personality and character qualities. They are also excellent sources of feedback about what is working and what is not working in our world, in your area, in their lives, and in your business. Use a Q&A or interview style to quickly share their stories with your readers (with permission, of course). For greater speed, record the story telling and post the audio or video link instead of written text.

Surf the Internet

Set alerts for topics that interest or concern your target audience. Visit forums where they gather. Search for trends and new technology. Read other blogs. If you are on Twitter, search for http:// to find links to great content. Retweeting takes practically no time at all. Add another minute or two, and you can tell your readers why you find something interesting or inspiring and then point them to the original source. With a bit more time, you can explain how or why you are using technology. You can share answers and solutions on forums. You can add your insightful comments to other blog posts. Do this in short spurts on a consistent basis and watch your online presence grow.

Don't give up on increasing your online presence just because you are pressed for time.

• Capture ideas while they are fresh.

• Brainstorm when you are busy doing something else.

• Try audio clips, pictures, and videos as a supplement to written content.

• Put your network of friends, family, clients, and associates to work telling their stories.

• Let your fingers search as well as type.

• Link to or comment on other people's great ideas.

• Provide the answers and solutions your target audience is looking for.

Try these tips for yourself and see how quickly you learn to create quality content even if you hate to write.
