Tips For Learning Guitar Chords

Expert Author Curtis Turner

Simple is good - the thing I love about playing acoustic guitar is, the naturally sweet sound it produces after you strum a chord. For me simple playing relieves stress that I may have been experiencing after a long grueling day. Learning guitar is a very good medicine, and without any side effects.

Have you ever needed to just get away to a quiet place, whether if it was at a park, beach or a closed room? You know taking an acoustic guitar along with you can make that quiet play more tranquil. If a guitar is played at the right time, it can do so much for your stress level; help bring down tension and give you much needed relaxation. You know this is why simple guitar playing is good, it beneficial to your health.

Easy Strumming - Most people who always wanted to learn simple guitar chords, need to know a little secret. Learning simple guitar chords is the best way to get to learn better sounding altered (or) complex ones. Think of it like this, when you first started swimming, you didn't jump in at the 20ft end of the Olympic pool, you started at 3ft; well I know I did. Strumming easy and simple chords are your spring board to more beautiful sounding chords.

When it comes to strumming chords, for that person who just like easy playing, the C, G, F, D, G7 are some great chord for strumming. I can see you now, picking and grinning on your acoustic guitar playing "My Only Sun Shine."

String Gage - I know for me the gage for my strings made a big difference in the way I was sounding. The sounded of my chords and strumming sounded as if I was playing on a sick cat howling at the moon. After finding a set of strings that didn't irritate my fingers as much, the feel of what I was trying to play felt good musical and as well acoustically. I'm sure you will work all these little key areas out once you begin playing.
