If you are like most people, you probably struggle daily with trying to find enough time in your schedule to accomplish the things that you want. It pretty much always seems as though you have more to do than you have time in which to do it! Unfortunately, this can have negative stress effects both at home and work. While this article won't give you a ground up time management plan, it will tell you how to make the most of the time you have.

Tip #1 - Don't procrastinate. Usually it is almost always the case that the things you feel like doing the least is the thing you probably ought to do the most. In fact, getting difficult tasks out of the way can be a great way to practice overcoming bigger obstacles in the future. If a task seems too big, break it down into smaller chunks and spread it over the course of a few days but be sure and finish it!

Tip #2 - Don't be a hero. Although it can be tempting to try and do everything yourself, the downside of this is that you wind up feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Instead, focus your energies on the big, important tasks and leave the smaller tasks to your staff or other family members who can handle them. You will be surprised that after some time that ever wondered why you didn't do things this way in the first place.

Tip #3 - Make everyone aware of what needs to be accomplished. Whether at work or home, all members of your team need to know what needs to be accomplished and the dates by which they need to be done. The best way to make certain that there is no ambiguity in terms of the tasks at hand is to have some sort of schedule that everyone has access to. That way, no one will wonder what needs to be done.
