Goal and Reward System
The first thing you should do is set up a goal and reward system for yourself. Set goals for yourself and your business that are attainable. Do not set a goal that you want to make ten-thousand dollars within the first month of business. This is unrealistic and if someone promised you this, you may want to forget everything they said. Set goals for yourself, such as "Sell x amount of products the first week." Once you become more established, you can set your goals a little higher and base them on the amount you did the week before. Just don't forget to set up a reward for yourself when you reach your goal. It might be going to the movies or taking your family out for dinner.

Setting Hours
One of the reasons so many people fail in this business is they expect to make money, but they don't put in the hours that are necessary to get their business off to a good start. In the beginning, you must spend a lot of time creating the best marketing strategy. This is the only way to guarantee your success. If you don't put the time in, you are not going to make the money.

Self-Control
Most of your work can be done from home. You must maintain your self-control and learn how to concentrate on your work. Life is filled with distractions and disruptions. You must be able to ignore them. If you give in to every little distraction that comes your way, such as the telephone ringing or the dog barking, you will find it difficult to get any work completed.
