There are many forms of cystitis and interstitial cystitis one of them that affect the entire function of urinary system. It basically involves bladder inflammation at initial stage and later on it starts to affect other parts of urinary system, like kidney. This is today's one of the most problematic disease which is becoming very common in people, irrespective of their age and gender. Mostly people ignore the general symptoms of this disease which later on becomes chronic. Hence, thorough treatment is highly advisable to those who are suffering from any of the related symptoms. Basic symptoms are:

· Frequently passing urine,
· An urge to pass urine,
· Pain while urinating,
· Ache in pelvic zone,
· And Mild or high fever often.

There are many other symptoms that might vary with individual to individual. However, above mentioned symptoms are quite common and found in every interstitial cystitis patient.

It occurs when bacteria called E. coli bacterial that reside in human body, travel up the urethra and reach bladder. There they start to multiply start to cause infection and inflammation. This is first stage of interstitial cystitis which then initiates aforesaid symptoms.

Although it can attack anyone but women mostly are suffers of this disease. This is due to the fact they have shorter urethra that opens near the anus. Pregnant women, active women and women after the menopause are common victims in women section.

The treatment of interstitial cystitis is very easy and there are varieties of medicines available in the market. Antibiotic is the most common medicine suggested to prevent this infection. Herbal and non-herbal medicines are used according to the condition of infection. But, herbal mode is preferable for their absence of side effect.

No doubt a proper treatment by medical practitioner will get you the same old normal life but if after curing or during the treatment preventive measures are not taken it might take longer time to cure completely. By implementing few home remedies or measures one can reduce the chances of interstitial cystitis of coming back. For this you can do following things:

· Avoid drinking alcohol till the symptoms lasts.
· Wear cotton underpants and avoid tight trousers.
· Do not suppress the urge of urine.
· Drink plenty of water all through the day.
· Avoid perfumed soap, deodorant, bubble bath etc.
· Drink cranberry juice

So, following these simple tips one can not only cure interstitial cystitis easily but also quickly. One should follow these rules even if the symptoms are not visible. This will reduce the chances of its reoccurrence.
