There are a lot of bad drivers out there, but how do you classify which ones are the worst drivers? In order to determine which drivers are not up to snuff, you have to look at several factors. The main characteristic of someone being a bad driver is contingent upon how distracted they are.

Statistically speaking, it would seem that the so-called "soccer moms" are often the worst culprits when it comes to poor driving habits. The term 'soccer mom' actually came about because often times, mothers could be seen rushing with their kids to get them to their soccer games on time. Still, to this day, whenever you see a minivan, often times it is speeding down the roadway. Now, while you cannot make a blanket statement to say that all people who own minivans and have children are poor drivers, what can be stated is that people who have children are often distracted while they are driving, which may or may not lead to erratic driving behavior.

Other people who have had the unfortunate mishap of being branded as 'bad drivers' are young men between the ages of 18 and 25. Statistically, this is a fact. It is also the reason why many young men who have just purchased their first vehicle are often shocked to find out that their insurance rates are much higher than any other age group. Simply stated, in order to avoid being branded a "bad driver," you must learn how to be more vigilant when it comes to driving. Pay attention when you are in your vehicle and keep all distractions to a minimum so that your focus stays on the road...where it should be.
