Do you know how to make your boyfriend feel that you truly love him? Has he ever questioned your commitment or love for him? When you tell him that you love him, is he still unsure? Well, there are three things that you can do to make him feel that you do indeed love him with all of your heart.
Respect Him
This is done by listening to him without interrupting. By preferring his company over others, and letting him know that you do. By telling his parents what a wonderful son they have raised. And you must never talk negatively about him in public or to anyone other than your best friend. If you have a situation you need to fix with him, just talk to him about it when the two of you are alone.
Honor Him
This doesn't mean bowing at his feet when he enters a room. But it's the little things that will make a difference. Offer him a bowl of ice cream when you are serving one for yourself. Always greet him when he comes home or leaves. Don't just hear the door and think, oh he's home, okay. You should always look and feel happy that you get to be together again.
It is common for couples to honor each other at the beginning of a relationship, but then after dating for a long time or getting married, the honor just goes out the window. We serve acquaintances when they come into our homes, but we don't offer anything to our own spouses. This one step alone can make your man feel that you truly love him, with actions and with words.
Demand Respect for Yourself
These truths are also mandatory for you, as well. Hold him to the same standard and call him out, gently, when he doesn't. It may seem like the opposite thing to do to get him to feel loved, but he will appreciate you caring enough about the relationship to have a mature discussion.
The key to this element is to bring it up kindly and matter-of-factly, not with anger or disappointment in your voice. It is a lot harder to bring up a topic like this than it would be to just ignore it, and he will know you truly care about him if you're willing to go through this difficult process. He will truly feel honored, and he will feel that you really do love him.
