Merely stating that one is going to travel via a private jet brings to mind a lavishness few get to experience. The reason private jets remain exclusive is that the price of a jet, even as a charter, makes flying in one fiscally prohibitive. The upper-middle class, professionals making six-figure incomes, find jet charters hard to justify when the charter's price tag come in around $10,000 (for a jaunt within the continental US). It is easier to purchase a first-class ticket for a $1,000-$2,000. After all, a commercial airliner's first-class luxury is not to be sneezed at, but it is not as sumptuous as a jet.
Nevertheless, rationalizing a private charter is made easier if all the benefits are considered and not just the dollar figure.
There is a level of luxuriousness that is unrivaled with jet travel. This luxury will have one arriving at their final destination in an invigorated fashion. No jet lag or road weariness because every fixture about a private jet is for comfort. The seating aboard a private aircraft is more plush than what one can find in most homes. The cabin during travel will be quite. It will only be populated with people one knows, or a chartered jet may only transport a single individual. Refreshments and entertainment will be available to all. Unlike commercial carriers they can be fully customized to the passenger's taste. Being entertained with video, music, or games of one's choice while snacking on one's favorites. All these perks should have one aching to fly in style.
Another wondrous benefit is that private travel moves at the passenger's schedule. There are no missed flights, no connections or layovers, no delays. Show up and fly off to the destination, all the while keeping one's shoes on. There are no security lines. No bustling, boring terminal to wait hours on end for the cattle call to board. Also, if anyone has ever been trapped inside an commercial airliner sitting on a tarmac for hours on end, then they know great is the benefit of having the airplane wait on them. Upon arrival there is no lost baggage, inspected baggage, or baggage claim.
Also, consider that the number of airports by using a charter jet for a trip is increased by a factor of ten. In the continental US there are five thousand airports for private aircraft versus only five hundred for the major airlines.
These advantages should convince one to travel in a privately chartered aircraft for their next trip.
