Are you interested in crime, action and thriller television serials? Does your blood start to race when you watch your favorite shows? If you feel the excitement build up inside you as it draws near the time for you to watch your crime serial then the Sopranos is a must have for your DVD collection.

The Sopranos is a serial based on the life of a fictional Mafia Capo, Tony Soprano. This aggressive and action packed adult drama is interspersed with moments of black comedy and is hugely entertaining. When Tony blacks out he rather reluctantly seeks the help of a psychotherapist, which he goes to great lengths to keep a secret from the rest of the mob, lest they think him weak. Tony has problems with his daughter, his wife, his mother and people trying to kill him. He has to learn to live by his father's example and deal with the manipulations of his mother, his fears of death and the loss of family.

The Sopranos is an overall intriguing plot with a nice story line, and great acting. The Sopranos was voted a major commercial and critical success and went on to become the top grossing cable television series in television history. That should tell you what a great success this drama series was and 86 episodes later when the broadcast around the world came to an end, its viewers felt as if they had lost a dear friend.

The Sopranos literally took the world by storm when the program was aired by HBO in the late 1990s. Cutting edge drama and caustic wit are the hallmarks of the show, which maybe considered a cross between The Godfather and a nuclear sitcom family. The fan club for the Sopranos grew quickly as more people began getting hooked on the serial, which was nominated several times and won many awards in each of its seasons.
