The role of pharmaceutical market research in the pharmacy business is the gain of additional knowledge regarding the effect of the medicines they sell in the market, basically how these meds are sold and who are the consumers. They may include things like "why people buy or do not buy" their products. These researchers as well tend to point out some factors of that causes the industry to fail or to succeed. They also help to maximize their products routine inside the industry. They have a lot of researching and studying to do so that medicines will be purchased the way it is needed. Pharmaceutical market research helps us in a way that it could improve our way in curing diseases, to me they act like scientists trying to find something new. The three most renowned pharmaceutical companies are Novartis, Pfizer, and Bayer. They have been competing toughly in this industry especially for sales.

This group of people hired to work in this industry has been seen to get more opportunities because the have helped a lot in the past few years, and they have been expected to do so much more in the future. This is considered as the company's strength once this is deployed in their company because they know they will get a lot of inputs regarding medicines that they already have and those that are yet manufactured.

Huge companies do vertical integration which means they handle everything in the creation of a product, starting from the raw materials, going to the retailing of the products. While on the other hand smaller companies focus on a specific subject in their research, like for example discovering of new medicines. This only means that huge companies have the edge in selling more products where they would have to spend lesser, because they already own the departments that will do everything from laboratory stuff into the repacking of the medicines, and even with the marketing strategies.

We are just hoping that these research institute will also discover medicines that would not cost that much so that patients who are not capable of spending a lot for medicine will be able to afford them. Though this is considered impossible because they do a lot of job wherein they spend a lot for market research purposes, and that would be an additional cost to them which could be a reason for them to increase the costs of their products.
