The Right Way of Handling Panic Attacks

Whenever you have difficulty in breathing, a raise in your heartbeat often called palpitations, stomach aches, anxiety, a feeling of being isolated from the real world, numb feeling on your fingers or toes every time you face pressure or stress, then you are suffering from anxiety attacks. Panic attacks are caused by different things. Unfortunately, this type of psychological condition is inherited from one generation to another. Poor diet and nutrition also contribute to developing panic attacks. Traumatic experiences also cause panic attacks. It has been found that most people who suffer from anxiety attacks have undergone traumatic experiences while doing certain things, which in turn, when these things are encountered, they turn up having a panic anxiety attack.

Hormonal imbalance is also one cause of having panic attacks. People who are in puberty or menopause are more prone to having these attacks, and so are women who experience hormonal imbalances during menstruation. Inflammation caused by allergies in different parts of the body also contributes to panic attacks. These are just a few of the main causes of such problem, which in turn, should be handled properly.

When handling anxiety attacks, it is best to know the causes of these attacks, so as to actively know that they are just a result of some trauma or biological condition which can be corrected. The very first thing to remember is to keep your calm, and perhaps drink a glass of water. These attacks can be overcome in a matter of a few minutes only if you make yourself calm down. It will also help if you keep reminding yourself that these attacks, although they are terrifying, will not be of any harm to you. Your life is as safe as it can be. Try to learn and get accustomed to relaxing techniques which you will be able to use every time panic attacks come up. Beyond these techniques on handling panic anxiety attacks, there are a lot more ways to totally stay away from those frightening experiences. Consulting your doctor will be of very big help.
