One of the significant concepts in this book is that we have two main choices in life. We are here to choose service to self or service to others. This is the Law of One that is discussed throughout the work. As humans, we have free will, leaving us the decision. All options are honored, without judgment. The positive alternative, however, is service to others.

Perhaps this is a good time in our history to look within and see which choice we have made. Is our life centered around others, or is our main focus on ourselves? This is a learning lesson. We can shift at any time and chose again. We can grow and evolve into a higher conscious being in this lifetime. We are in charge of our life and our decisions.

One of the cautions of falling into service to self is the belief that one is an elite or better than others. Feeling special can be one of our downfalls. We need to be humble and realize our strengths without letting our ego interfere. We are all different, but we are all equal.

There is no one way to be of service to others. Each person is unique and has a special way to perform his or her service. Trust your abilities and know that your chosen career or life path is the correct one. Know that however you work to assist others is the right way. Self knowledge is necessary as well as being open to receiving and giving love to others. Part of that self knowledge is forgiving the self. We cannot truly forgive others if we continue to judge ourselves. Service to others includes service to self.

This book was published in 1984 and was channeled from a being called Ra through a woman to others who wrote down the words. Today, most channeled material comes directly through an individual without going into a trance-like state or needing others to record. This progress forces us each to be more responsible as we are now capable of receiving information directly.

The book also provides some very specific information on the future of the human race. Ra talks of the harvesting of humans as we reach a greater number of people who have achieved awareness. While harvesting seems to have a sinister connotation, the point is that we will be moving into another dimension, or density, that we will be evolving to another level. This is a positive event and one for which we are preparing.

There is no danger, there is no suffering, there is no negative repercussion to this move into another density. The scary part seems to be that it is a change. I believe that is where our fear enters. We don't understand other dimensions and what they might mean. This book does explain some of that. Much of the material is beyond our normal level of comfort, which is all the more reason we should read it.
