The Nokia X3 is a beautifully styled phone with a wealth of functionality. Its appealing looks have won it many admiring glances from a distance. Its innovative functionality will no doubt prove popular, however it has one slight problem, and that is that it is not available at the moment. Release is tabled to be quarter 4 of 2009. The handset is 96 mm by 49 mm wide and 14 mm thick whilst weighing 103 grams.

A 2.2 inch TFT display screen is the focal point of the phone and offers excellent colour reproduction due to its ability to display 256,000 colours accurately. The screen has a pixel screen size of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone comes with vibration and ring alert types, which are further enhanced by the ability to download polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. The phone also comes with a speaker phone which has stereo speakers and provides hands free conversations.

The phones camera is a 3.2 mega pixel camera which takes effective imagery at an operating resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera comes with enhanced fixed focus and an LED flash, which is always a useful commodity. Video recording and playback is available on this handset and is recorded at QCIF quality and at 15 frames per second. The phone comes with memory storage of 70 Mb with certain packages including a 2 Gb card as standard. The microSD slot can be used to increase memory storage up to 16 Gb.

GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Blue tooth and micro USB are built in to the handset which offers numerous opportunities to connect to multiple devices and to conduct and perform numerous tasks, whilst on the move.

The MP3/MP4 player and stereo radio ensures that boredom does not set in, with the ability to listen to downloaded music files as well as radio broadcasts. The player will also play most audio and video file types.

The Nokia X3 is a well designed unit, much like the Nokia X6. Its impending release is being eagerly anticipated. Its eclectic design and fulsome functionality provides a veritable feast of things to do with the phone. Its popularity is already assured.
