The Nokia E52 is a compact and lightweight phone. It weighs only 98 grams and is 116 mm by 49 mm wide and 10 mm thick. It is a smart phone which utilizes the ARM 11 600 MHz processor and Symbian operating system. It is an effective phone for carrying out a number of tasks whilst still retaining a style and look of a standard handset. It has internet access capability that is able to achieve speeds of up to 10 Mbps, which is one of the fastest available.

The phone comes with a 3.2 mega pixel camera which operates at 2048 x 1536 pixels. It comes with the useful enhanced fixed focus as well as an LED flash, to provide additional illumination if required. The alternative of recording video is provided and operates at VGA quality and 15 frames per second. The phone has an internal memory storage capacity of 60 Mb, but comes with a 1 Gb card to use in the microSD slot with some packages. It can also be further expanded up to 16 Gb if desired.

The phone comes with a 2.4 inch TFT screen which has a working pixel screen size of 240 x 320. True life like color reproduction is possible with the screen due to its ability to display up to 16 million colors. An accelerometer sensor is included with the package which automatically rotates the aspect of images to ensure optimum viewing of the image.

The MP3/MP4 player provides entertainment in conjunction with the FM stereo radio. Whilst the additional elements included with the phone such as the digital compass, document editor and voice memo feature are welcome and useful elements.

Connectivity is provided by a variety of connections, which include GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Blue tooth and microUSB as well as HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections. Web browsing is fast and responsive. Satellite navigation is provided via the GPS with A-GPS support feature which also comes with Nokia maps.

The Nokia E52 is similar in many ways to the Nokia N97. Both offer streamlined and aesthetically pleasing styling with a multitude of functionality. The handset offers a wealth of useful and effective features that will ensure the user can stay connected and perform multiple tasks while out and about.
