There are many ways to try an persuade someone to buy from your website and there are books and courses explaining all sorts of quite arcane or humorous methods to do so. However, there is nothing like example - yours.

1 Identify with your audience or vice versa. Your visitors and customers must feel that you're just like them. That you're not some kind of super able being, living on a different planet. Most people are looking for someone to follow, to imitate, to match so they can follow in their footsteps and make money too. That's how important the example is that you provide in your business. It's just the same as in any area of life.

2 Have flawed authority. Everyone wants to be an authority on the web now. They see it as a way to easier riches. If others would see them in an authoritative way, then they'd get followers and so, buyers. But if you try to appear perfect it'll be unbelievable. Also, something will go wrong at some point, and usually at the worst possible time. So, know your stuff to help others - but you can't know everything.

3 Lead yourself first. In your online business, you'll probably be working alone, like me. You have to be your own leader. Decide what standards and values you live and work by. Then, you can transfer a sense of these to your customers. If you can't lead yourself, others will be wary of following and buying from you, no matter how much authority you have.

4 Imitation may be a form of flattery but.... GIving a lead to others is not having them just copy what you do. They should be able to use your practice as a base but then develop their own style and way of working. Your lead should help them to do that.
