The Many Varieties of Beer

It has been said that Benjamin Franklin may have once said beer is proof that there is a God and he wants us to be happy. If this is so he may have been a little inebriated when he did. There are doubts, of course, that he even actually said this.

If he said it or whoever said it, makes a rather good point with this statement. Beer has such a distinctive taste that beer virgins are almost intimidated by it.

In this article you will learn a few things about beer so pay attention and let's talk beer.

Lagers are the most common in the world of beers and they are best served ice cold. They are lighter in color and milder than most beers in taste. Some beer varieties contain higher alcohol contents like doppelbock beers, and can range to about 10% in volume.

Next we have the ale which has bitter flavor due to the malted barley and hops it is made with but also gives it a sweeter taste.

In some states, when the drink in question has an alcoholic volume above the allowable range, this is the term which is legally used.

A stout is another type of beer, an ale actually, which is identified by the dark color. The dark color comes from the result of roasting the malt before using it to brew.

Light beers will have a reduced number of calories or a lower alcohol content. A light beer has a weaker flavor compared to other varieties. Some beer drinkers actually prefer the less strong lighter beer because of the taste.

Whichever type of beer you decide to go with, you can find the taste that will offer you your taste preference. With all this being said I'm sure you may be able to consider yourself a beer drinker or at least give it a try.

I choose pink bath towels and organic cotton towels.
