The Magic Kingdom is a place that is found in our fantasies, and it is also a place that is located at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
This Disney World Kingdom is a hundred and seven acres of pure fun and adventure. Within the Magic Theme Park, there are seven places to visit.
Main Street U.S.A., Tomorrow Land, Liberty Square, Fantasy Land, Adventure Land, Frontier Land, and the children's favorite, Mickey's Toontown Fair.
Development on this Kingdom was started after the death of Walt Disney in 1967. Walt Disney had been preparing and planning this project for Florida years before his death. The new theme park was built very similar to the existing Disneyland in California, but it was bigger and better. The Magic Kingdom was built over tunnels where cast member from the shows could move through the park out of the guests view, and keep the illusion of the show alive. Because of the high water table in Florida, the tunnels had to be above the ground, which meant the Magic Kingdom is built on a second story level. In order to raise the level of the building, they used ground that was removed from the Seven Seas Lagoon which was being built at the time.
Magic Kingdom opened its doors for the first time on the 1st of October 1971. It had 23 attractions, three of which were unique to the theme park, and the other twenty were copies of the ones at Disneyland. The attractions were divided into six themed lands of which five were copies, and the Liberty Square was new and unique.
Magic Kingdom was often used as a nick name for the Disney Land Park until the Walt Disney Resort was built. The official line for Disney Land is 'The Happiest Place on Earth. The Magic Kingdom uses 'The Most Magical Place on Earth.'
In 1994 the theme park was given the official name of 'Magic Kingdom,' in order to differentiate it from Disneyland.
When Guests arrive for their magical adventure, they are transported from the parking lot on trams to the ticket centre. Here the guess will be able to buy tickets for all the theme parks and get transportation connections to any part of the resort that they wish.
