The Importance of Driving Traffic to Your Offer

Expert Author Steve Crofford

The importance of driving traffic to your offer can't be stressed enough. If you don't have traffic, it doesn't matter how good of an incentive or product you are offering, it won't be noticed by anyone.

Your traffic must also be targeted. In other words you need to have people coming to your website that have the problem or need you are offering to solve or supply. It doesn't matter where your prospects are coming from, you must learn how to use keywords in order to attract market-specific traffic to your website.

Going in depth with keyword research is beyond the scope of this article, but there are many courses you can take and books you can read on this subject. I will say that keyword selection will always begin during your initial market research. As you research your market, you should keep a list of relevant keywords and phrases.

There are two types of traffic you're going to want to use. One is called "short-term" traffic, and the other is called "long-term" traffic. Both types of traffic are important and can help you build a huge list of subscribers.

Short-term traffic is traffic you can generate very quickly, but may only bring you visitors to what you're promoting for a short period of time. For instance, you could run a Google AdWords campaign to promote your product. Doing this, will get you instant traffic to whatever it is you are promoting.

The length of time you receive traffic depends on how long you are willing to pay for it. If you have a small budget, then you might just run your ads for a little while. Long-term traffic methods, on the other hand, will require some time to go by before seeing many results. But when the traffic starts to flow, you get a steady stream of new and repeat visitors without having to invest any extra time or money.

One good example of this is using articles as a method of traffic generation. If you write a good article, it can circulate across the internet for months, even years, and continue to bring in a steady stream of traffic as long as people come across them in search engines, article directories, and blogs.

Just remember that traffic comes down to either time or money. You can generate traffic by either paying for it, or you can put in the work of writing articles, submitting press releases, and optimizing your website for good search engine results.

Attracting traffic is a matter of creating good valuable content. Again, this includes submitting press releases, writing good articles and getting involved in market specific forums and groups. Using viral reports, and video is another excellent way to create good content.

Stealing traffic is another good technique. Here, you are using the traffic other site owners have generated by "back linking" to your website. You do this by posting comments on high traffic blogs to get links to your website.

You can also do joint ventures with other list owners, having them send traffic from their list to your website. It's all about finding ways to honestly and ethically capitalize on your resources and others as well.

Once you learn the best ways for you to drive traffic to your offer, whether it's a free incentive or a paid product, you will start seeing success. To find out more about traffic generation and list building, go to [http://onlineprofitsbuzz.com]
