The amount of lobbying, political contributions, and use of the media pushing our nation closer towards alternative energy is somewhat problematic in that we are funding nonsensical energy projects and wasting money. In fact, we are creating an alternative energy bubble as we speak, while simultaneously crippling our current energy infrastructure. Obviously, we want clean, abundant, and reliable energy, and obviously, we need it to run our civilization and all those rapidly growing civilizations around the world.

However, throwing billions, in not trillions of dollars in taxpayer's money at an alternative energy strategy which is not really needed, and at specific technologies which will not solve the actual problem it is only going to triple our energy costs, and the taxpayer is going to get the bill. Meanwhile, just about everybody in the world is lining up to participate in the alternative energy bubble with projects that will never create a return on investment.

Perhaps, they figured that getting in when the going is good is fine by them, and they will jump out before the ships sinks, as they always do prior to bubble bursts. The question is why are we blowing up this bubble in the first place, haven't we learned from our past mistakes?

The pigs at the trough, and your elected representatives have turned on this faucet and supply as if money grows on trees. Tremendous amounts of resources and money will be changing hands, but it is very doubtful that we will reduce pollution by any significant margin, or provide the millions of jobs we were promised, or somehow become energy independent overall this screen alternative energy push. Please consider all this.
