When something great needs to be done, little happens before one commits to the task at hand. Once committed, providence moves.
Life is short. It happens too soon that the day is over. The only way to measure oneself is to measure what has been done by the end of the day. Too often people think and dream about what they are going to do only to be disappointed at the end of the day. By acting now dreams will come true. It is only by doing that one will fulfill one's measure.
Everybody wants to be more fit, to have better family and friend relations, and to be more financially secure. But many people do not know that only by truly learning how to commit to a decision will they accomplish what they want most. Our destiny is shaped by hourly actions.
Most of us struggle to step up to the plate and do what it takes. When there isn't evidence of immediate results and gratification there is little of the needed driving force. The solution is to not require immediate results. Self gratification should come at the end of the day when one knows they have accomplished a step towards the end result, not the end result itself.
Anthony Robbins states that only force strong enough to change your life is "a truly committed decision." By committing long term and never giving up you will have your dreams come true. When one desires a good thing, then commits to it, there are unseen forces that drive that commitment to reality.
A commitment is more than a decision to try to do something to see if things work out. It is like a light focussed so tight like that turns into a laser. The laser will stop at nothing and keeps going on and on without ever loosing any of it's intensity. A decision is to say that one will no longer entertain the distractions or other options that will distract from the focus.
Commitment can be learned. The more one practices the better and stronger the commitment level will become.
When somebody is truly committed it is evident by the action they take. The action will be consistent and directed towards a specific end result. There is a force that is formed with action that builds momentum. Challenges that would otherwise hinder action are little resistance for strong momentum. Every day challenges become mediocre hiccups in comparison to the driving force.
One should build commitment like a muscle is strengthen. The things that would otherwise weigh one down are instead used to build strength. The more weight, the more strength. The more endurance, the easier it is to endure. Once strength is built the soreness leaves and a habit is formed. There is a saying that more or less states that the more one does something the easier it becomes. Not because the task at hand is easier, but because the doer's ability to do so is stronger.
