Want to know the fastest way to lose weight? It's not a secret and you don't have to pay some guru a lot of your hard earned money to find out. It's actually pretty simple. Eat real food and exercise a little. That's it. It's not something glamorous or flashy. That's why people underestimate the effectiveness of it.
Start Eating Real, Quality Food
Cut out all of the heavily processed foods that you are currently eating and replace them with real food. By that, I mean food that will go bad or rot if you leave it on the counter for more than week. Buy fresh food every other day and use it up quickly. Just don't buy anything in a box or something that has a national advertising campaign. Usually these foods are just empty calories and not that good for you. Cut out the carbs too like rice, grain (wheat, oats, barely, etc.) and potatoes. Eat more green leafy vegetables and lean cuts of grass-fed meat and wild caught fish.
Cut Out The Garbage Food And Sugar Filled Drinks
Fast food also has to go. No more drive-thrus or happy meals. Almost all fast food is heavily processed and full of sugar, sodium and other chemicals like MSG. And by cutting out this you can also eliminate drinking your calories in the form of pop. This sugar laden beverage is horrible for you and cutting it out is a must. This goes for all diet pop and those energy drinks too.
Start An Exercise Regiment That Includes Cardio And Resistance Training
After getting your nutrition plan squared away immediately start an exercise regiment that has both cardio exercise and resistance training elements. Start by going for a 30 minute walk everyday. Once you have built up some endurance continue the daily walk but add in some more intense cardio at least 3 times a week. For the resistance training you could start with bodyweight exercises. Exercises like pull-ups, push-ups, air squats and walking lunges all can be done. If those moves are too difficult, use some very light dumbbells first and do some basic curls, tricep extensions and squats to build a little base.
Stay Away From Crash Diets And Celebrity Fads
Don't fall into the diet game of trying to find the "magic diet" that works for the stars. It just doesn't exist. A safe goal is to lose 2-3 pounds a week over the course of many months. Crash diets only work (if they work at all) temporarily and usually you'll gain back the weight that you have lost plus a few pounds. Stick with eating real food and exercising a little. It's safe and in the long run it is the fastest way the lose weight.
