The Erie Music Scene is one of the most wide and varied music scenes you will find anywhere and you might be surprised at the breadth and depth of musical talent in a town the size of Erie, PA but if you spend any time here at all, you will find that the phrase "there is nothing to do" does not apply in the town I live in.
As a musician myself I take great pride in all the different styles of music that are played in this town.
It does not matter if you are interested in mellow tunes you can listen to at one of our beautiful outdoor venues or if you are interested in hanging out at a hot nightclub where you can dance the night away, the Erie Music Scene has something for you.
We have jazz, hard rock, cover bands, country bands, acoustic acts, folk, bluegrass, tribute bands, R&B, hip hop, and nearly every genre you can think of.
Plus, our city and surrounding areas are not shy about booking musical acts. Most every night of the week you can find something to suit your tastes. If you are feeling particularly brave, in addition to bands, there is always a readily available karaoke DJ or someone hosting an open mic night.
Many times you can listen for free or for a very low cost! The cover I usually pay is anywhere from $3-$5 in the bars and the outdoor venues and festivals are generally free.
Some of the places to see great music include (but are not limited to): Sherlocks, Doc Holliday's, Sluggers, Oasis, Sandbar, P.I. Downs and Casino, BW Saloon, Lakeview Hotel, Plymouth, Cousins, Bullshooters, Jammin' Vine, Sidelines plus the great sunset concert series on Presque Isle, Celebrate Erie, Downtown Erie Bud Light Block Parties, and much much more!
When you are visiting Erie, PA, make sure to give our great Erie Music Scene a try because no matter what type of music you like, you can find a great Erie musician giving you a tremendous performance.
You will not be disappointed when you listen to our great musicians!
