The Dear Zachary Documentary

It would be bad of me to spoil this documentary for you. It's a very touching documentary that grips and tugs at the heart. It's sad and inspirational at the same time.

The story comes from Kurt Kuenne, the director of this documentary. The doc is really a tribute for his childhood friend Andrew Bagby who was murdered in 2001. He was murdered shortly after breaking up with his girlfriend. A short while after Kuenne begins this film for Bagby's son as a gift.

This film also deals with crime and injustices within the justice system. Many who are not big on watching documentaries will be drawn into the story of this film. Tears may drop from your eyes. The movie deals with the human character. There is a lot of bad in this movie. By bad I mean it's easy to get upset at the terrible things that some people do to one another.

But this story is also about perseverance and the strength that is sometimes found in the human spirit. This film may take you from discouragement about the condition of some people's hearts, and then on to the beauty that is within the hearts of others. And it may take you back around again. Even if you are not much of a documentary watcher, you may be compelled to deep feeling after viewing this film. If you have not been through many hardships in your life, you may find it hard to imagine what makes people strive to endure and press on in life.
