Isn't it funny how some of us when we were in school didn't want to be there? We didn't want to learn and really didn't see much benefit in learning at the time. I didn't and I am sure a lot of you were just like I was...I just went to school to see my friends and have fun.
Now that we are older, we all seem to devour any information we can find and develop those learning skills that we shunned in the past. With access to the internet we can research and learn about anything we choose to and online learning is right at our fingertips.
For example if you want to learn about internet marketing and internet strategies, you look for someone that is experienced in the field and you read everything you can find that this person has written or has taught about what he or she knows. You continue on to another website and another and take in all the information at each site you visit.
You read to learn about marketing products, research internet marketing, learn the technology, visit their learning sites and become so overwhelmed and you are so overloaded with information that you end up more confused than actually learning the skills you need.
There is and there probably never will be an end to the process of learning internet marketing. Each and every day new things come out, new ideas, new strategies and newer ways of achieving success and everyone wants to tell you all about how their way is the only way to do it.
It is an undisputed fact of internet marketing that the list below are all factors in whether you succeed or fail in internet marketing. It is just a matter of deciding on what you want to provide to your reader and/or your buyer and how you are going to proceed in doing it and finding a method that works for you.
* SEO (search engine optimization).
* Affiliate marketing.
* Product sales.
* Creation of your own products to sell
* Website creation (full blown web sites, versus mini sites).
* Blogs or blogging.
* Social bookmark sites.
* Social networking sites.
* Article Marketing.
* Keyword research.
* Niche research and deciding on a niche.
* MLM (multi-level marketing).
* PPC (pay per click) AdWords by Google
* AdSense advertising
* Newsletters or Ezines
* Building a subscriber list
* Quality content and quality information.
* Providing what the consumer wants or needs.
SEO (search engine optimization); there is no way around this major component of internet marketing. Either you do your homework and learn how SEO works or you will succeed at nothing. You will be just about as successful as making paper airplanes with your ads written on them and flying them out of your car window while driving through town. People may see them floating around and just ignore them, some may pick them up, read your ad and then toss it away and a few may actually buy what you are selling but there is no staying power. Your presence in their minds is going to be short-lived.
The internet works pretty much the same way. Without SEO and optimization of your website or blog, people may run across your website and just keep on going, some may stop for a short time, read bits and pieces of your website and move on to the next one and you may actually make a sale. But will they ever come back to your site?
Do your research and work at learning the skills that are necessary to make it and succeed in the internet marketing world.
