Canon has added additional photo effects, more resolution and Eye-Fi support. The back screen is a touch screen interface and there is no longer any optical view finder as Canon is starting to phase these out in their newer models. You can check any photo on the back screen before transferring it to your computer. The LCD screen is 2.7 inches large and you can easily view photos. The camera also has special settings for low light situations.
Some of the shooting modes you can choose form include movie, fireworks, foliage, self timer, face, beach, indoor, night snapshot, auto, long shutter, snow, underwater, low light, kids & pets and portraits. The many photo effects to choose from are black & white, vivid, neutral, custom color, my colors off and Sepia.
You can easily get in any group shots by using the self timer which has a 10 second delay. The shooting speed is fast with the focus and shot occurring in 1 second. In a dim light setting it will take 2.6 seconds to take a picture. It is also possible to take videos using the camera. The amount of pictures you can store and movies you can take will depend on the resolution and settings of the camera.
All photos can be downloaded to your computer easily using a USB connection. You can also scroll through and view photos by connecting your camera to your television. Some of the other items that come with the camera include a USB cable, wrist strap, battery, battery charger, AV cable and CD-ROM. You will need to get a data card as this does not come with the camera.
You can also get a lot of accessories to go with your camera as Canon makes a lot of accessories. You have your choice of camera cases including a special waterproof case for rainy days and water use. If you travel a lot then having a spare battery is a good idea. You can also get a neck strap instead of a wrist strap.
You can easily get great group shots as the camera has face recognition. You o not have to worry about shakes or wobbles when shooting as the camera comes with image stabilization technology. Basically you only need to point and shoot to get a great picture.
