The Cancer Diet

The role of diet in the prevention of cancer has become an important subject and enormous amount of research is happening in this field. The American Institute For Cancer Research has published series of studies and articles in the subject of the diet and it's role in preventing this deadly disease. These publications contain a great deal of information about antioxidant vitamins. They also contain information about the incidence of various types of cancer and the low intake of fruits and vegetables.

As far as Vitamin C and Vitamin E are concerned there is now clear evidence to show that people with low intake of Vitamin C and Vitamin E containing fruits and vegetables are likely to get most forms of cancer as compared with those who eat normal to high amount of Vitamin C containing food.

Many studies have come up with clear encouraging studies as regards to cancer and diet. The risks of cancer of mouth and throat are decreased by diets high in fruits and vegetables. There is convincing evidence to show that such a diet is protective against many forms of this disease. The incidence of colon polyps and colo-rectal cancer seems to be very low in those who regularly consume high fiber, fruits and vegetables. The is also the most effective way of avoiding cancers of the ovaries.

The result is almost conclusive. Many incidence of cancer can be reduced by modifying our diet to ensure that we intake large amount fresh vegetables and fruits. But the food most of us currently consume which are fast food, packaged food, processed food with all the condiments, flavoring agents, flavor enhancers, sweeteners, preservatives, coloring agents, emulsifiers, solvents, stabilizers, bulking agents, anti-foaming agents etc. are a perfect recipe of cancer. We are digging our grave with our own teeth.
