The Best Way to Fight Off Fatigue and Stress

Expert Author Jesus Smith

Is it not somewhat amazing to think that years ago adults had such modest lifestyles? Lives that were not controlled by electronic devices, technology, careers, academics and even social standards is challenging to imagine in this day and age. Certainly while the world has evolved with the many advances that at times can take away from the joy that life is intended on bringing each individual, some of those technological advances have been tremendously successful for the world. To be able to video telephone a family member in another country, to have endless medicine choices to cure fatal health ailments and to educate the children of the world to surpass past generations are all the joys that today's society can offer. With all these amazing advancements the world is lacking but one major element to a great life and that is to enjoy it! People have a very difficult time taking time out of their day to relax, to read a story to their children, to take a walk, to enjoy a bubble bath, a home cooked meal or to sit by a fire and enjoy their family with conversation.

The world is filled with overbooked schedules running to and from work, taking children to school and various other activities and finding time to socialize with friends and other family members is simply too much to fit in one week for some families. When you put your body on overdrive for weeks and weeks at a time, you begin to lose sight of what is important in your life while slowing taking years off of your life in the process. Stress causes hundreds of diseases and it can even kill you if gone too far and not treated. Fatigue is another issue, how can one person be running a full day of activities on six hours of sleep and most likely on very poor nutrition as well? It cannot be done plain and simple at least not in a healthy way. The best way to fight off fatigue and stress in your life is by planning your week a little smarter.

Sure work schedules may not be very flexible, but you can cut back on the activities your children are engaging in and the time you may invest in front of your laptop or television each week to exchange it for family time or time to relax and allow your body to recoup. It seems like an impossible thing to do, but in reality it isn't it is all about what you are willing to value as important in your life and scheduling other necessary events such as going to work around what is most valuable to you. Try it for one month even, make it a priority to spend three nights a week with your children playing games, eating dinners together, watching movies or even just playing outdoors. Make it another point to go to sleep by ten pm each night, and try to improve on your daily nutrition in the meantime. In one month, your body will feel as if it was on vacation and the internal joy you will receive by spending time with your family and embracing your children will be a priceless accomplishment.
