Realistic Wood Cross Tattoos

There is of course the realistic cross that Jesus died on.  Thus can be done just as a wood cross by itself you might choose a Crucifix with Jesus on it.  Either way these can be incredibly powerful designs.  Even just the standard wooden cross can be done in a variety of different styles and it is important to consider all of your options when thinking about getting a cross tattoo.

Gothic Cross Tattoos

The Gothic and EMO people out there can also get a cross tattoo if they want.  A gothic cross typically has at least some of the following elements in their design.  They are often done as pieces of metal.  The metal is always very ornate with lots of shadows and shading done to make the cross look like a beautiful piece of metal artwork.  They will often be adorned with numerous jewels and often have a dark almost eerie feel about them.  They of course border on the dark side of things but can also be done very beautifully and well designed.

Tribal Cross Tattoos

The tribal cross tattoo is often done with big strong bold black lines that are interwoven in a similar fashion to Celtic crosses.  However with a tribal cross the lines are often in a random sort of order and have hard or sharp ends and make sharp turns.  They cross over each other back and forth in an intricate pattern.
