The Best Double Strollers For Your Traveling Needs
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

When you have two young children less than three years of age, one of the best ways to get them around while out is with a double stroller. Double strollers, as well as those for three or more children, combine two seats within the frame. As many parents may have children who are three years old or younger, having both of them safe makes going out easier. In addition, as many double strollers have adjustable seats, one seat can be adjusted for a toddler, while the other can be reclined for a baby.

Standard strollers are the most common for a double design. In these cases, two seats are placed side by side and the parent pushes the children and has enough space for a diaper bag and other necessities. But standard frames have another format for children called a tandem stroller, and, in this case, one child is placed in front of the other. A tandem design is more common for travel systems, especially as parents can take out the car seats and place the children in the car when going out. The removable car seat design with a tandem stroller also allows parents to place their children facing each other. Another option for taking the children out is with a double jogging stroller which, similar to a standard model, places the children in side-by-side seats.

In some cases, a standard model isn't needed, and the children can be placed in an umbrella stroller. Umbrella strollers are also designed as double strollers. The design has two seats placed by each other and the parent pushes them with one large handle. In this case, the double umbrella stroller has three pairs of wheels for versatility when pushing it on a flat surface.

Another aspect to keep in mind when using double strollers is where you'll be using them. Need to take your children on the subway? A tandem stroller may take up less space. But when you're going for a walk and need to navigate around corners or curbed paths, umbrella double strollers are more flexible and easy to control in this instance.
