Thousands of men get married every day to women they love and others to women they think they love. Sooner or later the men who get married to the women they think they love will end up having to start over because that relationship will not last, whereas the men who get married to women they love - it will last. To be in the second group you need a commitment strategy to seal the deal- so what is it?

I'll say it with two words- Appreciation and Success and you can achieve this over a three phase plan

Phase One- Planning and preparation

The best commitment strategy you can employ to get a man to marry you starts well before you get serious with a guy it's all in the preparation and planning stages.

1. Think about your end goal- is it to be married or co habiting?

Being married - formally and co habiting have different connotations to man and require different strategies.

2. How long do you want to get married for?

Strange question I know but do you plan on just focusing on getting married or is there more to your goals? You need to be focused on how long you want to be married for to have any chance of it happening.

3. What is your track record? And what can you learn from it?

Mistakes happen, so learning 'what not to do' as well as where your weaknesses are when you are in a relationship, is vital. If you don't know that you are putting men off then you'll never get one of them to marry you without some coercive strategies that don't tend to make the marriage last when used as a tactic.

4. Do you know what makes men tick- in general?

How do men think and view relationships and how can you or have you used that knowledge to your benefit in the past? Find out what men think and use that information to help you now.

5. How appealing are you as a wife and long term partner?

Think about what it means to a man when a woman has it all together and is able to hold her own without him propping her up emotionally. Are you that woman now? And can you make yourself be her?

Phase Two.- Commitment to 'I do'

You're now dating and you want to move him from where you are now to being in a committed relationship.

1. Show you adore and appreciate your man

You have to now pull out the stops to show him you appreciate him and what he does for you- start as simply as saying thank you for his time and assistance and scale up into making him know that you wouldn't be without him in your life. And yes that includes saying thank you for things you do without thinking about, those things that no one thanks you for.

Try using phrases such as - ' Do you know I'm so lucky to have you in my life', they really work.

2. Make him feel successful

Don't play guessing games here. Tell a man in a subtle way what you want him to do for you and later in not so subtle ways- he'll thank you for making it easier for him to please you.

Phase Three - Keep it up.

Decide what you are prepared to do for ever- because you are going to have to. In some ways you need to start here because commitment is an on going process. So what you do now is what you need to always do. And when you do this, you will make him want to rush you down that aisle- believe me!
