Have you ever read a fantastic blog? I mean a really well run operation, with consistent blog posts and tons of comments? The ones you know get lots traffic every day? The one that makes you feel your blog is not up to par?
Well these blogs did not attain this status overnight - not by a long shot. They have probably been blogging for a long time AND they have done the right things to promote their efforts. And if you ask them what the keys to their successful blog are, they will probably give you answers that you can easily implement and start doing on a consistent basis. But, it's what they don't tell you, that really sets the best bloggers apart from the average bloggers.
They have something set up called a blogging network - Unfortunately it's not a group you can just ask to join or that physically exists. What a blogging network offers though is valuable connections and working partnerships where every blogger contributes and furthers each others blogs. Having a group or a team of bloggers on the same page, all promoting each others blogging efforts multiplies the collective energy of 1, tenfold.
How would you go about getting a blogging network going? The first thing to look at is your own blog - Are there comments by the same individual more than once? If so, this could be a potential blogger alliance. Do you look at Google Analytics and see traffic from one source consistently? If so, this could be a blogger to reach out to. Are you a member of any blog groups for your niche? This would definitely be a way to tap into forming an alliance with some bloggers.
The thing to keep in mind though is that not all bloggers want to set up a blogging network. Primarily because they don't see the benefits -
But, if you can reach out to a few bloggers in your field and make some comments on their posts - Keep returning and checking out their offers or the links they direct you to, I think you can develop an alliance with an interested blogger pretty quickly.
Like-minded individuals will embrace and foster the potential for a blogger network. It's what gives a blog more traffic, more readers, more interaction and more respect than others who have no established network.
