The Benefits of Drinking Water - The Liquid Key to Health

Anyone will tell you that in order to be healthy you must drink a lot of water. It is a major component in the human body making up almost 60% of what we are. Our bones and muscles are mostly water, in fact. Therefore, by depriving the body of it (even in small percentages) it cannot function at an optimal level.

Here are some of the benefits of drinking water:

  • Kidney stones: We all need water to assist in flushing out toxins. This also helps us to avoid forming kidney stones.
  • Fat loss: In order to lose weight, a person simply must drink a good amount of it each day. As you burn fat, you must "wash it out" of your system by drinking.
  • Look younger: Water hydrates all parts of the body including the skin. This makes your skin look younger and more nourished.
  • Reduce your hunger: Because you are filling up on water, you can use it as a hunger reduction tool.
  • Water is essential to many functions in your body. Even slight dehydration can cause serious issues in the human body which is why drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water per day is so vital to good health.
  • Water helps to "oil" your joints thus reducing the joint and muscle pain that many people experience each day.
  • Digestion: Without water, you will likely have several digestion issues such as constipation and acid reflux. The stomach needs water to make it more alkaline to avoid excess stomach acid.
  • Breathing: Water helps to moisturize the air in our lungs making it easier for us to breathe.
  • Water helps to regulate body temperature.

As you can see, there are many processes that water is a part of in your body!
