Testimonials: The Secret Weapon
The value of an interview or video testimonial is huge. Shooting them is easy. Web video is just like any other content you see on television. The worth of someone saying 'I used or did it and it worked for me!', frequently can outweigh any sales copy that can be written.
If at all possible, including an interview or testimonial to improve the response you get with your video. Do not be afraid to do them, and do not think that just because you are not Barbara Walters that you cannot do a great interview.
Easy web video interviews are simple. The key to doing a great interview is in the questions. They should be formatted to elicit a response from the person being interviewed. Yes and no answers are never worth shooting.
When someone is on camera answering questions, make sure they re-incorporate your question into their answer. For instance, if you ask, 'What is your favorite color?' instead of them just saying 'blue', they should say, 'My favorite color is blue.'
A few sample questions:
- How has this product/service/business helped you or made an impact in your life?
- Explain your experience with this product/service/business.
- What makes this product/service/business stand out from the competition?
- When you think of this product/service/business what words come to mind?
- Why would you personally recommend this product/service/business?
You have now moved forward on the path to creating and combining smart marketing concepts with the power of easy web video skills.
