The Advantages of Detoxification and How It Can Be Lifesaving

As a consequence of living in the modern world today, we expose ourselves to an ever-increasing number of toxins. These toxins can be found everywhere; they can be found in the air we breathe, the food we eat, water, pesticides and the millions of consumer products that we use every day. This has resulted in millions of people suffering from various conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and even cancers. Although we can pride ourselves on being the most advanced civilization ever to have existed on this planet, we suffer more illnesses today than ever before. The numbers of people that have died from disease in the last 50 years outstrips all the deaths in all the wars have been fought in history. The tragedy is that many of these deaths could have been prevented.

"How?", you may ask. Well, simply by detoxifying your body. "That is a simplistic answer which doesn't answer the question."You are probably thinking that, right? Well, consider the following. Did you know that your body contains hundreds of toxic chemicals in your blood every day? These chemical compounds react with healthy cells in your body and causes both cells to become free radicals. Those free radicals then cause damage to vital organs in the body and can lead to malignant tumors that in certain cases are fatal. In addition to cancers, toxins in the body can also lead to chronic disease, which accounts for 70% of all deaths in the United States. Therefore, the simple logic then, is to remove the toxins out of the body to prevent them from interfering with the natural order, and at the same time dramatically decreasing the chances of developing chronic disease. Yes, the initial answer was simplistic, but that is because the solution is a simple one.

Body detoxification has become more popular now than ever before. If done correctly and in regular intervals, detoxification can limit the body's exposure to highly poisonous substances. If you are inexperienced in this field then it is probably wise to get some professional help before attempting any self-help treatment. If you do not know which toxins are entering your body or even how to fight them off, any off-the-shelf treatment that you take will not be very effective. Here are a few questions you need to ask yourself. What toxins am I exposed to on a daily basis? How do these toxins react with my healthy cells? How are free radicals created and how do they go about damaging organs and tissue? Will a detoxification program on its own be able to help me keep healthy? What else do I need to do in order to accomplish this?

If you would like to know the answers to these questions and you are serious about getting your body back to good health, then it is time to do a little research. There are a number of books on the subject. However, make sure that you have chosen a book that is written by a qualified physician who specializes in toxicity. Finding the right source of information will help you to learn how chemical reactions occur between healthy cells and toxins and the damage they can lead to. Remember knowledge is power. The more you know, the better chance you have a living a happy and prosperous life.

One book that I found very interesting and highly recommend is the best selling book, "The 9 Steps to Keep the Doctor Away", which is written by Dr Rashid Buttar. Here you will learn in detail how POPs such as DDT can lead to disease and chronic illness. Dr Buttar also explains how the chemical reactions occur and how healthy cells can turn into free radicals as a result of these reactions. This book also lays out a plan to take control of your health, rid your body of toxicity, and maintain your body to enable it to function as it was intended.
