Temporary tattoos can be a fantastic way to begin your journey with body modification. If you like the idea of getting a tattoo but you're not quite sure what design will work best or you're not yet ready to make the commitment to getting a real tattoo, then a removable tattoo may be the answer.
A temporary tattoo can be a great way to try out several designs before making a decision on which design to get permanently inked onto your skin. You might like to wear a number of different designs, each for several weeks. Get a feel for how well the design looks on your skin and suits your personality and feelings. For some designs you may find that you liked them initially but after several weeks of wear you decide the design is not for you. Thankfully, with a temporary tattoo no long term commitment has been made and removal of the tattoo is simple.
How realistic can a fake tattoo be made to look? There are many different types of fake tattoos. The type you may be most familiar with is the water applied temporary tattoo. These tattoos are commonly used for promotional purposes and are often given away as children's favors. However, these are for fun and not comparable to permanent tattoos.
A more realistic temporary tattoo is the henna tattoo. Henna tattoos are applied via stencils onto the skin and can be used to create fantastic looking and large temporary designs on the skin. Even more realistic are the cosmetic type. These can be designed to look extremely realistic and indistinguishable from the real thing. It is this type which is commonly used by models and actors.
