Television in America

From learning favorite new recipes to knowing more about your favorite actor or player, from wanting to hear what Troy Bolton said to Gabriella Montez to watching NFL games, you can trust the television and the TV shows to take care of all your needs. It seems to whisk you away to a magical land where there is only you and your favorite celebrities with no interruptions, where vampires and werewolves are a reality, where Central Perk and McLaren's bar become favorite places to hang out with friends.

It is a place where hospitals are no longer places for sick and dying people but have people like Meredith Grey, George O'Malley, Mark Sloan whom you can relate to or simply sit back and admire, where Gregory House, Richard Castle and Kate Beckett are the new faces of the glamorous and mysterious world of detectives. It is somewhere you sympathize with the likes of Michael Scoffield, a world of TV shows where every dream seems real and every thing looks possible. Such is the huge impact of televisions and tv shows on American society that production houses who want to take advantage of this public demands for more exciting shows are introducing new shows every now and then.

Huge investments are being made in the TV shows; sponsorships are being obtained from some of the reputed names of the corporate world and promotions are being carried out all over the world for these shows. And the efforts do not go wasted. People are enjoying the shows, their reruns like never before, thereby increasing their TRP and helping producers recover the invested money and make huge profits. The glitz and glamour of the world of television have people hooked to it like never before. Television is like a means of escaping from everyday boredom, struggles for survival and fatigue. Television educates; television brings the whole world to people's houses at the press of a remote button. Television helps companies and brands make business via advertisements and sponsorships. Television also triggers off problems like rampant violence, drug abuse, teenage sexual activities etc.

Television is magic. In the words of Barney Stinson, it is awesome!
