Teaching online classes can be the easy part but putting the course together can be a real nightmare. If all you had to do was show up and instruct the class, life would be easy, and maybe you can do that. All you would have to do is buy a ready made class template, just hire someone to create it for you and your on your way. But for the regular guy, were going to have to create our own materials from scratch.

That may include a hybrid of learning materials, audios, videos, online resources and even a physical book. That can take a huge amount of time to create, so how can you create a multi-media training course in a weekend?

Lets begin with creating an outline, determine what the main 12 points in your course are. Decide which point you will teach using a written report, such as a down-loadable PDF.

Next determine which main points you will teach using audio and video files. Than decide which points you want to test the student in. Now once you have this information you are pretty close to being ready to begin creating your course.

Start by writing the PDF reports, all they need to be is between 2 - 5 pages long, make your point and add a resources section at the end of the report. Next move to recording the main points you want to teach using audios. Upload them to your web server so that your student can access them when you want them to.

Finally use either a good camera or screen capture software to create your videos for your class. Now the way to bring cohesion to your material is teach the class via a teleseminar. As the time is right or when you decide send the links to your students to have access to the course material, do not let them have access to all of it form the start. Distribute the course material a little at a time.

What makes this hybrid style of teaching so effective is the variety of learning modalities and the delivery of materiel in easily digest-able portions.
