Do you need to tame the clutter in your home? If so, you are not alone! No matter how big or small your house or apartment, your possessions seem to grow in order to fill it. And then, with your busy lives, you suddenly realize piles have accumulated and it makes you tired to even think about taming the clutter in even one room! These organizing tips will help you get started on the task of getting clutter under control:

Kitchen Office

Use wall-mounted tools when organizing an office area whether it is in the kitchen or any other room of the house. These tools may include a magnet board, a magnetic calendar, a magazine holder, a mail bin or basket, and a multi-slot organizer. A file cabinet on wheels keeps paperwork in order and can be easily moved into a pantry or closet when not in use.

Laundry Room

Suitable storage is essential for the laundry room in order to tame the clutter. It you have a larger laundry room, you may want to store items such as craft materials, gift wrap, etc., in the room. Make use of the multitude of stackable boxes and bins on the market to keep everything organized. Remember to label each box or bin; you will thank yourself later for being so organized!

Kid's Room

Does your kid's room rank as a disaster area? If there isn't a clutter-free path to your kid's bed to give them a goodnight kiss, there is organizing to be done. Get rid of old, broken, and unused items and organize the rest in containers or multipurpose furniture. Use high shelves to store objects that are seldom used, such as seasonal toys. Pull-out bins under the bed are space savers.

Bathroom

Decorative shelves are very useful in a bathroom for organizing and storing extra towels and wash cloths. Small baskets or pretty containers which hold small items can also be placed on shelves to add a nice touch to the room. A wrought iron floor corner shelf unit is also a stylish addition to a bathroom and takes up little or no space.

Multipurpose Furniture

Multipurpose furniture is essential when organizing any room. For office areas, a desk with a hutch not only adds beauty to the room but contains the clutter as well. Storage units such as a coffee table with a lid or shelves for magazines, books and remotes is another must for most family rooms. Large wicker baskets with lids are great for storing blankets, throws, and even sports equipment.

By taming the clutter you will have clean surfaces in your home and will actually be able to use those surfaces as they were intended.
