One of the greatest things about being in a home based business is that you have a ton of people around you who can show you what you need to do to become successful for yourself. You can learn so much about success if you are willing to learn from the people who have been successful themselves. No book, or article can ever teach you more than someone who has made money in your particular business.
One of my favorite places to soak up knowledge about your business is at your company's annual conference or convention. Not all companies have them but most do and they are great places to soak up information from the people who have really been there and made a ton of money in your particular business. Don't waste the opportunity of having all the top earners in your company in the same place at the same time. Get as much information from them as you can and if possible take some time and sit down with them one at a time and find out exactly what they did to get where they are.
Another great thing to do when you're talking to a leader in your company is to have a small tape recorder so that you don't miss out on anything that they are saying. It can be easy to forget things especially when you're in the middle of a big exciting event so record what you can and listen to it later for little pearls of wisdom. Also, have a list of the questions you want to ask beforehand so that you can get as many questions answered as possible and you can get the information that will help you the most.
Also, you can get a ton of information from conference calls or if possible give the leaders of your company a call and chat with them one on one during the rest of the year. Don't be afraid to ask for advice from the people who have been where you are now. You don't have to go it alone. Learn from the people who are already making money in your business!
