Recently t-mobile has been leading the mobile market with some great price plans including the Flext deals. The Flext plans are a new concept within the UK mobile phone market as they provide you with an allowance rather then a set number of minuets, text, or picture messages. I personally love this sort of plan as it can save you a great deal of money over your contract period. Another great benefit is that it adapts to the way that you use your phone if you are a texter you can use the majority of you allowance on text messages or if you're a talker then you can talk more in my opinion this is one of the best plans on the market at this time.

The allowance

Use your allowance on any mix of UK calls, texts or picture messages. For example, a £30 allowance gets you up to 150 minutes or 300 texts.

Call cost from your allowance

  • Voice calls - 20p per minute
  • Text messaging - 10p per message
  • Voicemail - 12p per minute
  • Picture messaging - 20p per message
Voicemail retrieval is not included in your allowance and will be charged extra on top of your monthly tariff . Voice calls, texts and picture messages costs stay the same even if you use up all your allowance.

The Flext plans come in two flavours 12 month and 18 month contracts based purely on value for money the 18 moth contracts give you more bang for you buck but ties you into an 18 month contract. I know from experience some people find the 18 months to long and like to change the handset more often.
