Hi,
I've got an interesting subject to discuss today which, when done right, can be a surefire way of promoting your products. It costs cheap and has been proven to be highly effective in brand building and creating awareness. Social media marketing through video posting in YouTube. If you haven't done this yet, chances are, the only reasons why would be that you have not seen the benefits of this channel yet or you just have not been oriented on the how-to's, probably.
Can you put together a how-to video to showcase your product? How about one that is both informational and entertaining? If so, then there should be no reason to stop you from uploading a video over in YouTube. If you are asking what for well, there are about 78 million reasons why. In 2008, YouTube reported this many users in their base with a growth rate of 20% annually. That is, users who have already uploaded videos to their server. Translate this to the number of potential users who may see your video whom you can convert to subscribers or customers.
Google recently reported that its search engine is now able to read the transcripts incorporated in videos. Loosely translated, this means that your keywords or key phrases in your videos may now be used to help search engine index your website and ultimately allow you to land a good ranking in search engine results page. However, some tests conducted by key industry players have seen that this new development may still need some modifications. Still, one of the best promotional tools that you can release online would be videos. Video through popular social media like YouTube can spread the word for you fast and at little to no cost at all.
If you have, say, an ad or a page running in Facebook and you posted a link of your YouTube content to your page, each person who visits the link will have the opportunity to "like" your page ad first therefore adding another name to your fanbase. However, there is no guarantee that those who have come to know about your link and liked it have actually visited your page ad. Still, your objective of creating awareness and increasing your fanbase is met using this technique. With 150,000 videos being uploaded in YouTube daily, it would be wise to start with your current base and utilize this base to spread the word for you.
Just remember, videos can be a great tool in communicating with your target market. Your content should at all times be seen as useful for your customers. Do this right and you will definitely benefit from channel far more than you could imagine.
Stick around and I'll be discussing further the benefits of social media marketing in my next email.
Thank you, once again, for always taking time reading my updates!
With best wishes, believe me,
Cordially yours,
