Canoe Tours & Rentals
The Canoe Tour provides a great opportunity to view Sun Peaks' natural habitat. Beavers, bald eagles, and even cougars are all frequently spotted on these tours as the lake serves as their natural drinking fountain. Guests will also get to visit the John Tod Fur Trading Museum. Here, they'll get to touch a real beaver pelt and view a map of the Sun Peaks area created by David Thompson over 200 years ago. For experienced guests, canoe's can be rented for periods of 4 or 8 hours. Tours depart daily at 12:00pm and 4:30pm - 24 hour advanced reservations are recommended. Additionally, children 5 & under are free.

Horseback Trail Rides
The Sun Peaks back country serves as the perfect stomping ground for horseback tours. Ride alongside a knowledgeable guide who will explain the history of the Sun Peaks area. Tours depart 7 days per week and require advanced reservations. Although no previous horseback riding experience is required, participants must be at least 10 years of age to ride.

Available Horseback Tours:

• Village Loop - Daily at any time, 2 hour duration
• Evening Ride - Daily at 6:30pm, 2 to 3 hour duration
• Top of the World - Daily at 9:00am, 4 hour duration, intermediate to advanced
• Louis Creek Ride - Daily at 1:00pm, 4 hour duration
• Overnight Camp & Ride - Daily, overnight duration
• McGillvray Lake Ride - Daily at 9:00am, 6 hour duration

Kayak Tours & Rentals
The kayak tour is a safe & easy way to explore the lakes of Sun Peaks Resort. The kayaks provided are inflatable and can accommodate up to 2 adults. Rentals are offered in durations of 4 or 8 hours and family rates are available for tours.

Hiking Tours
Explore the lakes, alpine meadows, and most importantly the peaks with a well seasoned guide. Guests will have the option to choose from a number of different trails based on skill & fitness level. All tours start and finish at the Village Day Lodge and guests are expected to purchase their lift ticket separately. All tours must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

• Bear Tracks Eco Walk - Saturdays, 1:30pm to 3:30pm, Low Intermediate
• Great Elevations - Saturday & Sunday, 10:00am to 3:30pm, Advanced
• Tod Lake Trek - Saturday & Sunday, 10:00am to 3:30pm, Fit Intermediate
• Top of the World - Friday to Sunday, 12:30pm to 3:30pm, Fit Intermediate

Fishing with Carlos
Local legend Carlos Tallent will take guests on a fly-fishing adventure. With an extensive resume of fishing in over 300 lakes across B.C.; Carlos is a safe bet when it comes to catching fish. Half & full day tours are available and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
