Successful Forum Marketing Made Easy

Expert Author Ricky J K Ruto

Successfully using forum marketing as a tool to promote Your product or product You are promoting is actually quite easy as long as You follow a few basic guidelines.

Firstly find a solid forum. By 'solid' I mean a forum with a sizable amount of members (a few thousand) who post regularly and who actually care about the topic of the forum. This will be easy to tell as even before You register You can see how many members there are and browse the forum to see how active those members are.

Next thing would be to check whether or not You're allowed to put links in Your signature. Though this is not the only method You are going to be using in Your forum marketing it is important. You wouldn't want to be mentioning Your product or the product You are promoting in each post that You make.

Make the topic of Your posts eye catching and when making a post try to end it with a question that people can give their views on. This will ensure that Your post gets more replies.

Make a full profile when registering to be on the forum. This lets people know that You are actually invested in the forum. This will be important for the next part.

When sending personal messages about Your product or service always make them polite, friendly and written in the third person as pertains to the product. What I mean is that You should write as if You do not own or do marketing for the product and were just impressed by it therefore are telling them. 'Even though I'm new to the forum I just found this amazing product and thought You might like to check it out' would be a nice message to send along. Also one message is sufficient sending anymore is unecessary.

When replying to posts make Your replies informative & entertaining. This will ensure that when You post people will be more prone to read due to what they've already experienced of You.

As with Article, Squidoo, Twitter & 'Warm-mailing' marketing consistency is the key to success. Whether Your post gets 5 views, 10 views or 0 views keep posting, keep sending the messages along (to different people of course) and keep leaving informative & entertaining replies.

Here's Me Wishing You the Very Best in The World.
