Most women cherish their moment of being pregnant. They weave wonderful dreams for the tiny souls that are coming to life within them. This is the time to love yourselves and pamper yourselves as your thinking and behavior will have a direct influence on the child. However, at this stage some women often go through the worst phase of their life. There are varied reasons for different people. Some are disturbed by the myths that people tell them about pregnancy.

These tales that old women have to share often makes some space in the mind which penetrates deep into our soul, making one feel all the more restless, anxious and totally stressed out. These anxieties, restlessness often have a negative effect on the child. Recent studies have shown that those women who have experienced a high level of stress during pregnancy are more likely to have children who are at greater risk for developing asthma.

According to statistics reports, in Britain more than 5 billion, including millions of children suffer from asthma. According to the research, it was found that pregnant women experiencing stress have as high as 65% chances to have children who are at the risk of developing asthma. It was also found that the anxiety of the expecting mother has an adverse effect in the future health of the child. Researchers have tried to link their findings to hormone which affects the immune system.

They have also noted the fact that pregnant women who experienced stress at the later stage of their pregnancy have higher risk of mothering asthmatic children, as compared to those who were anxious at the early stages. Thus quoting Dr Raquel Granell, there is a fair connection between maternal stress and pediatric asthma. The study was conducted on more than 5800 youngsters and their parents. Among those tested it was found that 13% of the children suffered from asthma.

On an average, women who underwent stress had 17% higher risk of having an asthmatic child. Busting your stress by listening to music is the best way to relieve yourself. Scientists have found that lullabies are one of the most popular stress relieving songs. Learning to manage the stress will be helpful in busting the stress.

Female depression and marriage is another major cause of stress among women.
